AJSS Tuition Relief Program

If you weren’t sure before about joining us this summer to help needy communities in the United States, maybe this will help:

Recognizing the critical needs of local community agencies and understanding how these difficult economic times are for everyone, AJSS is offering a $1,000 across-the-board tuition reduction for our 2009 summer program.

With a nearly 60-year history of serving people in need, the AJSS wants to make sure that it is doing its part to help fellow Americans during these financially trying times. AJSS has a mandate and a mission to serve those less fortunate. We look forward to a productive summer making the world a better place for our fellow citizens. This tuition relief initiative also acknowledges the challenging financial position of the families of its participants. AJSS has a long history in providing financial support to families and we are committed to making a summer of service financially affordable for those teenagers who wish to serve.

We fundamentally believe it’s everyone’s responsibility to repair the world.

The 2009 summer tuition is $2,600. Financial aid beyond this program will still be available for those who qualify.

The summer application is at www.ajss.org and take a look at “Summer of Service,” a 10-minute video that captures the heart and soul of an AJSS summer.

This summer AJSS will be leading trips to Amarillo, Texas and to Kansas City, Kansas. Our trip to Kansas will be Shabbat Observant and keep strictly kosher. The program runs from Sunday, June 28 – Friday, August 7.
