This summer marks the 60th summer of service for the American Jewish Society for Service.  Sixty years calls for a celebration and with that a chance to reflect.  Whether you participated 2 years ago, 20 years ago or 50 years ago, we want to know about the impact that your AJSS summer of service had on you.

As you know, AJSS has been at this work longer then so many others – we predate the Peace Corps and Habitat for Humanity.  In the 60 years that AJSS has been serving communities across the United States, the field of Jewish community service learning has taken shape and is now an integral facet of Jewish life.  Organizations such as Repair the World, AVODAH and the American Jewish World Service have joined AJSS and are offering service learning opportunities to young people here in the US and abroad.  We are proud to have been serving since 1951 and are pleased to see how this field has grown over the decades.

In celebration of our 60th anniversary, we are launching a major initiative to reconnect with our alumni and we invite you to be a part of this effort. We want to hear your story. Please click here to take our Alumni Survey.
