Whether you participated on an AJSS project in the 1950’s or in 2007, the quote above is a comment so many of us can relate to. Regardless of how many people we helped, how many houses were built and lives improved, the experience often felt that it was more meaningful for us than the people we served.

For 57 years, AJSS has given young people this transformational opportunity but we have not really focused on what happens after the experience. We want to change that because we have rich stories to tell about our experiences and how AJSS influenced the choices we made as adults.

Welcome to the Alumni Community of the AJSS. We are eager to hear from you and continue our international outreach efforts to reconnect with our more than 2000 alums.

Today, with the help of the Jewish Coalition for Service and its Jewish Service Online Network, we are working to develop our alumni database. The information you provide to us will only be used by AJSS to update our records and be in touch with you.

Once you log on to JSON you will be able to
• Connect with AJSS alumni from your project, and others.
• Learn about AJSS programs and activities.
• Be part of a national movement of the alumni of Jewish service programs.
• Network and find resources about career and volunteer opportunities around the world that make a difference.

As our Alumni Community grows, we hope to launch some new programs and activities that span the generations and give alums the chance reconnect and reengage.
